So, What Really Are Trump’s Policies?

(2026) So, What Really Are Trump’s Policies?

The President of Venezuela: Nicolás Maduro made an appearance in court today (5/1/26) after being charged for being involved in drug trafficking operations and supposed involvement with terrorism groups, the US president has positioned himself against the shooting of protestors in Iran, and it is almost exactly ten years since the famous 2016 United States presidential election - the presidency that took us into 2020 - an era of chaos.

The commonality between these talking points?

47th US President Donald J. Trump.

Coming from someone who considers himself somewhat of an “overseas” trump supporter I genuinely believe that there’s so much to appreciate about him as a leader, largely finding myself in agreement with Piers Morgan on this one point, starting with the fact that he simply offers a fresh breath of common sense.

So, what really are (the current president) Trump’s policies?

I mean, let’s just shoot back to 2016. The first Trump-Clinton presidential debate.

An absolute classic by the way (viewed several million times, and probably clip-farmed and memed many million times more).

A candidly-spoken New York billionaire is characterised by his outspoken behaviour.

His beginning statements (in response to prompt “[…] why are you a better choice than your opponent to create the kinds of jobs that will put more money into the pockets of American workers?”):

Trump: “Thank you Lester, our jobs are […] fleeing the country. They’re going to Mexico. They’re going to many other countries. You look at what China is doing to our country in terms of making our product. They’re devaluing their currency, and there’s nobody in our government to fight them.”

So maybe “Make America Great Again” is not such a wild statement considering his position after all…especially as the President “signed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office requesting exclusive rights to use the slogan for political purposes(Wikipedia) all the way back in 2015.

Essentially? Trump’s always had an “America first” posture.

From tariff trade wars and immigration policy then, to picking up an administration that had 10.8 million recorded border encounters over it’s term (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) years later.

The results?

  • Lowest border crossing levels in decades - an issue addressed by former US presidents.

  • Protection of US workers and US businesses, bringing back the power of US-centred manufacturing.

  • Big companies with big investment plans for the US.

Why is trump a better choice than his opponent to create jobs and overall economic stability?

Evidence simply just shows. New tax rules (One Big Beautiful Bill), just shy of 500,000 jobs created since he took office (depending on sources), and the famous “trump accounts” to be launched July 5th 2026.

I mean, just check out the all the figures of just this first year of his presidency yourself - all preconceived notions and deliberate misunderstandings left behind.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/issues/economy/

Purely objectively.

I’m glad he’s back in office, and excited for this period - knowing it’s the Trump-Vance administration, and you should be too.

(From the Trump-Harris presidential debate) Trump: “They’re [people “pouring” into the US] dangerous, they’re at the highest level of criminality, and we have to get them out - we have to get them out fast.”

…The nail in the coffin?

“I created one of the greatest economies in the history of our country. I’ll do it again, and even better.”

So despite how compelling and excellent my arguments are (coupled with irrefutable truths) for why you should also be a trump supporter, there still remains the sceptic that says “yeah but he’s clearly a racist AND a sexist.”

Now the prejudices of left-wing voters have and will always kinda be against trump, as the phrase “America First” and the associated policies are always seen as xenophobic and somehow discriminatory.

I think that Candace Owens said it perfectly a few years back:

Candace:"If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine. The problem is that he wanted, he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize. He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German".

It picked up a lot of contention by people who DIDN’T read past the media headline.

But the overall claim that nationalism is typically seen as a bad thing as it’s associated with Hitler’s agenda is undeniable (and was sort of proven by the responses).

But moving past that occurrence in 2019, someone reasonable might have LEGITIMATE doubts for President Trump’s administration.

Question: Is Donald Trump Racist?

Answer: No

What’s up with ICE then?

“Since President Trump returned to office, ICE has deported nearly 200,000 illegal aliens, including 47,885 with charges or convictions for assault, 16,552 with charges or convictions for sexual assaults and 2,699 with charges or convictions for homicides.” (Border & Immigration - The White House)

I have to admit, The White House’s posts on social media platforms depict ICE visits very brutally - showing families being split up and instances of violence with happy music in the background. But despite the seemingly aggressive narrative, Trump’s just keeping true to what he said, prioritising the American, and getting rid of people who skipped the line.

Trump made a few ARGUABLY “racist” comments a few years back? I understand the disagreement, but keep in mind that by enforcing a strong immigration policy, he’s actually doing more for ethnic minorities and their communities in existing low socio-economic environments.

Also come on, be for real. I don’t think I could find 10 high-profile people (especially politicians) who don’t have actually have genuine arguments against them, coupled with a WHOLE bunch of radical fools that hate everything associated with the personality.

Here’s the kicker…

Question: Is Donald Trump Sexist?

Answer: No

First of all, if you actually google “is donald trump sexist” (not that this is an accurate way to determine truth) you actually find a whole bunch of 2016 and 2017 articles that detail events from the early 2000s which is quite funny.

The most notable instance of his “sexism” is the private conversation from 2005 (released just before the presidential election) in which he made sexually suggestive comments.

Now I’m not trying to cover up or downplay what he said to make him look like an angel, anybody can go ahead and look up “Donald Trump Access Hollywood tape” and will get all the information right there. But what I DIDN’T expect was a BISHOP to become president of the United States.

At a certain point, people MUST understand that people have character flaws, and despite their personal development, their words can occasionally be played back.

What they don’t tell you? All the wonderful social issues Donald Trump has been a catalyst for resolving!

“President Trump has signed 200 executive orders, delivering on key campaign promises such as closing the border, protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation, removing men from women’s sports, ending federal censorship, ending the radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling, and ending radical and wasteful government DEI programs and preferencing.” (Social Causes - The White House)

Not 1.

Not 20.

Not 100.

But 200 executive orders have been signed, among them are the social issues of injustices against women - expressed allowing gender dysphoria to destroy female sports, and ending the madness of child abuse expressed as “gender-affirming” surgery.

Being raised a Presbyterian, Trump (in 2020) announced that he identified as a non-denominational Christian.

“Trump was also a consistent viewer of televangelists Jimmy Swaggart, Billy Graham, David Jeremiah, and singer Bill Gaither, watching the former three's televised sermons hourly” (Wikipedia)

And operating a country founded on Judeo-Christian values, I don’t know what more to say than he’s just got the heart of an American national.

Living in a country mostly established on Christian principles (although probably not the most devout himself) he has a personal interest in the value-security and preservation of American history (characteristics of a modern conservative), and evidenced from all that can be seen:

THAT’S his policy.
