“How We Will Build”

“How We Will Build” (2026)

“Low Favourability!” they say…

When I was younger, I was taught to believe that the Tory party was full of a whole bunch of “inaccessibles” who were mostly aristocratic, proud folk who were self-obsessed. Since seeing the polarity in both contemporary and traditional forms of both liberalism and conservativism, I think that general consensus has since changed.

But of course, the narrative about the Conservatives has remained generally unfavourable.

The current conservative party faces large unpopularity.

“The most apt description in the minds of Britons is that the Tories are ‘only interested in themselves’, which 56% of the public see as applying, notably including one in six of those who voted Conservative in July (18 per cent)” YouGov Party conferences 2024: What do Britons think of the Conservatives?

But what is the truth?

What does the party’s current policies entail?

“A Stronger Economy”

“Stronger Borders”

“A Stronger Britain”

As many sources would have it, public opinion generally agrees that cost of living is an undeniable issue facing the United Kingdom.

The Conservative plan for Britain, however, aims to reform welfare and “get people back to work.” According to the conservative party, there is a predicted figure of £23 billion saved alone (as a result of actions towards this). Reforming the system would encourage employment (self-sufficiency), boost productivity, and shift people from financial dependence from institutions such as the Department for Work and Pensions.

What does this do? Tax reductions (also in-line with Conservative policies) become pragmatic (obviously a win for every taxpayer - labour or conservative), and if people can be encouraged to move from welfare to employment…I'm all for it!

The Conservative party also has a recommendation and strong opinion with it’s immigration policy…

Borders?

Well the party actually uses an acronym:

  • “Ban asylum claims for illegal entrants

  • Out of the ECHR, ECAT and repeal HRA

  • Removals Force established, to remove 150,000 per year

  • Deport all new illegal arrivals within a week, and all foreign criminals

  • End the Immigration Tribunal, Judicial Review and legal aid for immigration cases

  • Returns agreements backed by visa sanctions

  • Support our allies abroad to prevent illegal entry to Europe”

Conservatives - Our Plan For Britain

The party uses what i’d like to call “a more President Donald Trump” approach to immigration policy, in which the concept of deportation is an actionable reality.

According to the very Conservative policy?

Illegal entry = No entry.

The reason?

Too many instances of uncontrollable thugs jeopardizing the safety of UK citizens, and the party’s dedication to the safety of British public.

From “View More Information about our BORDERS plan here.” An extract from Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp’s Speech - October 5, 2025:

“He [42-year old Abdelrahmen Abouelela] then proceeded to brutally rape a young woman, who was walking home at night in Hyde Park. She was alone and she was vulnerable. It now turns out that Abdelrahmen is also has convictions in Egypt as an Islamist terrorist.”

So the guard of the party has been put up.

No more injustices and horrors committed EVER.

And I’d like to see a strong government crack down on immigration, as would the majority of the electorate, proven by countless polls and public surveys.

Additionally, no more “non-crime hate incidents.” A Conservative government advertises itself as ACTUALLY permitting freedom of speech.

I would state it this way, imagine living in a country where you’re afforded the opportunity to speak your mind (one of the longest-lasting principles of most western societies). And instead the party aims for, “10,000 new police officers over three years.” to focus on “tackling real crimes.”

The very concepts that moved the world forwards: discussion, innovation, freedom of expression, etc.

And THIS Conservative policy is all for it.
